Photo Art Direction
As the Photo Art Director for client William Grant and Sons - a family owned distiller and distributor - my responsibilities included:
Coming up with concepts for photoshoots that would be shared on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Sourcing props and ingredients that would best suit the alcohol brand and concept for the photoshoot.
Food styling and the making of the drinks.
Guiding junior designers with studio lighting and camera equipment to assure the highest quality images were produced.
Day of the Dead Campaign
Tequila brand Milagro wanted to celebrate Day of the Dead in a colorful and whimsical way that would immediately transport the viewer to the beach. We came up with a drink concept that revolved around pineapples with candied ginger and pineapples for garnish for some added sweetness.
For the photoshoot itself, I sourced a worn out wooden table from the thrift store and for the backdrop, the team and I painted our own cloud background to help carry home the beach theme while this was being photographed in late winter.
Day of the Dead Bonus Photoshoot
For extra content, we came up with a second concept that focused on marigolds, a flower that is often used during Day of the Dead to help attract souls of the deceased. Edible marigolds can be found at high end grocery stores and farmer’s markets and were a perfect accent for the drink itself and for dressing up the photoshoot set.
